So after what I would say years of waiting, thanks to a gift from my wife I purchased a complete set of the Midrash Rabbah from Soncino, a 1951 edition. Very nice faded blue, 10 Volumes total, and a nice addition to the shelf due their being 60 years old.
So then merely weeks after this happened, my favorite Jewish publisher decides to go ahead and announce THIS:

Are you kidding me? Well, needless to say I will be pursuing this beautiful new set as well, one volume at a time.
So as an afterthought, if anyone is interested in a complete 1951 Soncino edition of the Midrash Rabbah, please feel free to contact me.
Note: The set has now been sold.

I’d be interested to see how they differ in translation.
Depending on the cost, I might be interested–you can direct message me on Twitter! (twitter.com/yahnatan)
Yahnatan: I will message you, probably next week. Thanks for the interest!
Toby: Did you guys order it? It’s as big as their Talmud volumes! I haven’t decided if I like the way Artscroll inserts all of the additional stuff in the text. I studied a few pages last night though and I found that I could follow along pretty well. My biggest concern is being able to find a reference if it is cited by Daniel in TC or something.
